Big Cave camp is 46km on good tarred road from the town of Bulawayo and is situated on the border of the Matobo National Park. The Matobo Hills are home to the greatest variety and density of birds of prey anywhere in the world – including the Black Eagle, African Hawk Eage and the rare Cape Eagle Owl and also has one of the world's largest concentrations of San Rock art.

The accomodation comprises of 7 thatched A-frame cottages, each with en-suite bathroom and private balcony. As the Lodge sleeps only 16 guests, the emphasis is on personalised service.
