As it is situated on a narrow peninsula with the Indian Ocean lapping at its front doorstep and the crystal clear waters of a spectacular mangrove estuary lapping at the other, it has the best of both worlds. From every accomodation site, you are no more than a minute's walk from the white beach and the warm Indian Ocean. Pomene Lodge is advantageously located in the Pomene bay offering a sheltered haven for swimming. Here one cannot escape the rhythmic sound of the ocean nor miss seeing perfect sunsets over the estuary. Here too, the flamingos concentrate in large gaggling groups and brandish the sky with shades of pink throughout the day.
