The clock in Africa runs much more slowly than in industrialised countries and sometimes even stops. Hamba Wilderness Tours operates small group mobile personalised tours through Southern Africa.

We always travel in a 4x4 safari vehicle but during the trips also go on game walks, mokoro trips, canoe rides, swim, and cycle according to the given itinerary.

The idea of travelling in small groups is to tip-toe in and observe animals in their natural habitat with minimum impact on both wildlife and environment. It's also about meeting people of different cultural heritages without arriving en masse and making it seem like an invasion. Small groups also allow for flexibility.

We offer set itineraries but will also organise ad hoc trips on the basis of special places of interest where you'd like to go and how much time you have available.
